The following items are accepted for recycling
at the Agency's Cedar Rapids Location:
Recycling Center
Recycling is FREE of charge unless noted otherwise:
•Antifreeze •Appliances ($9 each) •Batteries (household & auto)
•Bicycles •Computer Monitors ($5 each)
•Copier/Fax/Printer ($3-$15 each) •Electronics •Fluorescent Bulbs
•Motor Oil & Oil Filters •PCB Ballasts ($9 each)
•Syringes/Sharps (secured in a heavy plastic container)
•Scrap Metal (free of cement, fluids, glass, plastic and wood)
•Televisions ($5-$10)
•Tires ($1 on rim / $2 off rim car tires, $10-$25 for all others)

Organic Processing Facility
Organics Disposal. ($15 per ton - $5 minimum)
Compostable materials accepted include brush,
tree limbs/trunks, plant/grass clippings, leaves,
and clean wood waste such as pallets and untreated
scrap lumber.
Bulk Compost.
Compost for existing residential applications - FREE
Compost for all other applications - $8 per cubic yard
Wood Chips - $8 per cubic yard
