Residential prices and fees*

Tipping fees for garbage 

$38 per ton
$15 minimum charge for pickup trucks and service vans
$5 minimum charge for cars, SUVs, and minivans
Asphalt Shingles

$30 per ton (accepted loads)
$38 per ton (rejected loads)
Appliances

$9 per appliance
Covered load violation

$10 per violation (tarp will be issued with violation)
Purchase Compost

Free for residential uses up to 2 cubic yards per visit
Additional may be purchased at $8 per cubic yard
Purchase Wood Chips

$8 per cubic yard (2250 A Street SW only, while supplies last)
Tires

$1 per tire (off rim, less than 8 tires)
$2 per tire (on rim, less that 8 tires)
$140 per ton (more than 8 tires)
$140 per ton (large and quartered tires)
Wood Recovery

$15 per ton
$5 minimum 
Yard Waste

$18 per ton
$5 minimum

*Most of our recycling services are free to Linn County residents. We use fees collected from landfilling to subsidize these programs.  When we do charge a fee, it is to help cover the cost of providing our programs and services.
