Swap Shop - Providing the third R (Reuse)
Many useful items and products are brought to the Pollution Prevention Center through the Residential Program. The Swap Shop is operated to promote the simplest, most efficient form of recycling, reuse. To ensure that the items in the Swap Shop are safe and useful, only that material which has been screened by the PPC staff should be placed into the Swap Shop. Stock is dependant upon the material dropped off through the Residential Service and changes on a weekly basis. If you have some material you wish to drop off, please call us at 373-4771.
These items may include:
- Automotive Supplies
- Household Cleaning Products
- Latex and Oil Paints
- Stains and Varnishes
- Lawn and Garden Supplies
Items are brought to the Pollution Prevention Center by appointment. The staff screens and inspects every item before placing it in the Swap Shop.
By providing these items for reuse, the Swap Shop does not imply that the products will perform as they were originally intended. Products are available as is.
