APPOINTMENT SCHEDULE FULL FRIDAY, MAY 22 AND TUESDAY, MAY 26; NOT ACCEPTING NEW APPOINTMENTS FOR NEXT WEEK & BEYOND UNTIL TUESDAY, AFTER MEMORIAL DAY. THANK YOU AND HAVE A SAFE HOLIDAY WEEKEND!

The Cedar Rapids Linn County Solid Waste Agency is accepting garbage, appliances, tires, and scrap metal from Linn County residents by appointment only during the COVID-19 public health crisis. Residents are able to prepay, come at a scheduled time, and unload in the residential dumpster area while practicing social distancing. All other recycling drop-off services are suspended until further notice.

Call 319-377-5290, press option #4 to schedule garbage, appliances, tires, or scrap metal drop-off at 1954 County Home Road, Marion. Staff will take calls between 8:30am - 3:30pm to schedule an appointment. Pricing will be given. Make sure all pickup and trailer loads are tarped and/or secured.

Drop-off Times Available in 30-minute Slots, Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm

Here are the steps to follow after your drop-off time is scheduled:  When you arrive, please proceed to the scale house and stop at the scale window. Wait for the attendant to verify your license plate (they can see it via cameras). Once verified, the gate attendant will wave you on. Proceed to the dumpster area by taking your first left after the scale house. The dumpsters will be on your right. Back up to a stall that is open and unload. If you have an appliance, tires, or scrap metal, they go into the appropriate bunkers directly across from the dumpsters. Please remember to practice social distancing while on site. There is no reason to stop at the scale again on your way out.

Thanks for bearing with us during the COVID-19 pandemic and stay safe!
