The Cedar Rapids Linn County Solid Waste Agency Board of Directors placed the Agency’s FY24 operating and capital budget on file for public review. A public hearing for the FY24 budget is scheduled for December 20, 2022, 1:30pm, inside the Environmental Education Center, 1954 County Home Road, Marion.

Spring cleaning season is here! As Linn County residents dig through their garages, basements, storage sheds, and everywhere else to take back space, the Cedar Rapids Linn County Solid Waste Agency wants to remind everyone that there are other options besides the landfill for some unwanted items. Central Furniture Rescue in Cedar Rapids is continuing to help the community, providing furniture and household items to those transitioning from homelessness to living in their own homes.

The  Iowa  Department  of  Natural  Resources has  received  a  postpermit modification  request  from  the  Cedar  Rapids Linn  County  Solid Waste  Agency for the Cedar Rapids Linn County Solid Waste Agency Sanitary Landfill, a municipal  solid  waste  sanitary  landfill  originally  permitted  by  the  Department  in  1972, located 1954 County Home Road, Marion.
