Member Community Update: City of Cedar Rapids Budget

Update from our member community: City of Cedar Rapids City Manager Jeff Pomeranz presented the Fiscal Year 2027 budget (for fiscal year ending June 30, 2027) to the Mayor and City Council in February.

The budget serves as the City’s financial and spending plan for the year. The proposed budget will authorize resources and establish a direction for our programs and services for the coming year.

The City provides the following services: public safety, public works, solid waste collection, animal control, parking, ground transportation, community development and municipal water and sewer. The City also provides cultural and recreational opportunities through various departments and commissions.
