The Mount Trashmore trails and overlook will be open 9:00am - 4:00pm, Tuesday - Sunday beginning Tuesday, November 02, 2021 (the trails are closed Mondays). Visitors are encouraged to visit the Mount Trashmore webpage to check current trail conditions before heading out to visit: https://www.solidwasteagency.org/mount-trashmore
The trails and overlook will close for the season On Friday, November 12, 2021 at 4:00pm.

From Linn County Secondary Road Department: County Home Road is now open to traffic following completion of the final phase of a three-phase improvement project. Construction on County Home Road between N Center Point Road and Gilmore Road included 10” concrete paving, the addition of right and left turn lanes, and a roundabout at the C Ave Ext intersection.

Spring cleaning season is here! As Linn County residents dig through their garages, basements, storage sheds, and everywhere else to take back space, the Cedar Rapids Linn County Solid Waste Agency wants to remind everyone that there are other options besides the landfill for some unwanted items.
Central Furniture Rescue in Cedar Rapids is continuing to help the community, providing furniture and household items to those transitioning from homelessness to living in their own homes.

The City of Cedar Rapids is a member community of the Cedar Rapids Linn County Solid Waste Agency. Cedar Rapids City Manager Jeff Pomeranz presented Cedar Rapids City Council Members with his proposed budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2021 at a special council meeting on February 8.

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources has received a postpermit modification request from the Cedar Rapids Linn County Solid Waste Agency for the Cedar Rapids Linn County Solid Waste Agency Sanitary Landfill, a municipal solid waste sanitary landfill originally permitted by the Department in 1972, located 1954 County Home Road, Marion.
